Basically, the program is initiated by SCBWI to showcase it’s authors.And,the authors are in traditional or independent publishing. Template pages are available for an author to choose from to complete their book information.
ADVERTISEMENTS FOR NEW BOOKS AND AUTHORS
In addition,the children’s books highlighted are currently published within the year or so. As a bonus, it is a great idea to be able to see what is new in the particular categories. SCBWI BookSpot pages are able to be shared with other medias. Admittedly, having your own page is a fantastic advertisement for your book.
CREATE YOUR OWN PAGE
Moreover, it is great fun to create your own page. SCWBI provides an array of colors and different information . Consequently, finding the right colors to match your book takes some time. A few situations arose when I needed answers from the support team. In fact, they proved helpful and courteous. I always appreciate that type of attitude. SCBWI ORGANIZATION
SCBWI is the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. Thus, they want to highlight children’s books. However, the organization is specifically for authors and illustrators. Children books and young adult books are their primary focus. Additionally, there is a fee to belong to the organization.
BENEFITS FOR MEMBERS
But, they provide many benefits for their members. Newsletters, including news for Spanish people and authors, are one area. Another benefit is awards and grants for their members only. Besides all these benies, they have a resources section and Regional chapters with conferences.
VISABILITY
Visibility is one of their goals. Therefore, new authors appreciate special events such as the SCBWI BookSpot. Additionally, they offer opportunities for both traditional and self-published authors.Check out my Children’s Corner.
