PROGRAM FOR THE EDUCATION AND FEEDING OF THE NGÄBE CHILDHOOD
CONSTRUCTION OF NGÄBE -BUGLÉ NATION FEEDING SHELTER
Significantly, in 2020, PROEDUC.A.N.N, “SJR”, was founded by Armando and Cirila Palacios Dixon. Presently, they serve Chorcha, Chorchita, and Soloy. In addition, they provide meals twice a week to the children and offer the afterschool program again since the Covid shutdown. Armando also works for the Panamanian government in Bocas in education.
Finally, the new Chorcha Children’s Feeding Shelter construction began on April 9-10th, 2021. Fortunately, a Ngäbe lady, Martina Rodriguez, donated land. The shelter is now completed and used for community projects also in Chorcha.
Please check out the Ngäbe-Buglé Social Tidbits page for updates. Furthermore, there is a water tank installed now next to the shelter and a water well was dug this year 2023 in Chorcha.
LEGAL PAPERWORK COMPLETED!!!
As a side note, Proeducann formally began their paperwork on November 1, 2020. They now have the non- profit organization legalized by the Panama government March 24th,2023.

In addition, serving as Proeducann co-founders are the children’s parents. In fact, Mrs. Martina Rodriguez, and Natalia Palacios serve as co-founders also.

ProEducann discovered some adults wanted to take some education classes so their group bought some writing materials for the women and some of the children at Chorcha.
“All the members of Pro Éducann put together some school supplies, and went and share. Children and adult receive suplies. A group of old parents they are going to start studying this year and they told us that they were needing school supplies so me and my wife sent the information to the members and they help donating note, pencils, pens, glue, sharpener, etc.” quote from Armando one of the founders of ProEducann.
