My new children’s bilingual picture book is in the process . I have an illustrator lined up and someone to translate my English into Spanish.
It is very exciting for me because I wrote a concept book before ,bilingual with Spanish and Ngäbe languages. Now, I am writing my first actual children’s bilingual picture book.
The children’s book is new for me and there is so much work that is involved with writing children’s picture books.
DIFFERENT THAN ADULT STORIES,NEW CHILDEN’S PICTURE BOOK
Children’s books are so different than writing short stories or adult stories. There is so much paring down of the story into a very condensed amount of words. And, having to cut out descriptions is very difficult. I like to describe everything! I have to remember to let the illustrator tell the story also with the images and their imagination.My new children’s bilingual book is hopefully as well liked as my concept book.Check out my concept book under Welcome to My Blog
WORKING WITH ILLUSTRATORS AND NEW CHILDEN’S BOOKS
I enjoy working with people , so I am hoping the new illustrator and I get along as well as my last one who was so accomodating. My first illustrator and I are still are working on a coloring book in the future with Chalina. And I also have a Spanish/Ngäbe alphabet in the wings. I will need my translaters for those.The illustrator I will be working with has a good reputation also, so I am excited to work with him and explore how we can make the book a good one for the children. He has already at least 10 books to his name, so I am looking forward to working with him.I will be writing about Chalina’s sister.

I still maintain a table at BCP market in Boquete on Tuesdays mornings 9 am-11:30-12 noon.
