First review of my book Bella & Chantey.
I received the first review of my new book on Amazon. The review is a verified bought book.I am so excited and thankful. Thank the good Lord, I am glad the book is enjoyed, by both children and adults! I found that the adults that were helping me with getting the book together were also excited for the book to be done and liked it. That’s a plus that adults enjoy the book also.
I had to let Cesar know because he did such wonderful illustrations. And Pat Alvarado because she is such a godsend! She has been in the book business for many years and knows the ropes.
Presentation of book
I was invited by the Boquete library to present one of my books(I only have two thus far) at the book fair.The fair runs 3 days, and I am scheduled to present Bella & Chantey on June 23rd at 2 pm. I will have a free drawing for each of my books.I have engaged a Panamanian to read the Spanish for me because the children speak Spanish.

I had spoken about Bella & Chantey several times on my website-MyBlog.
It was an exciting adventure for me because of my age and also Bella is my first children’s picture book. Chalina was my first concept book.And, as I said before, it is not easy writing picture books.

This book was ordered as a gift for my grandchildren but I found the search for the rare blue mushroom to be a charming and fun read. And the illustrations are vivid and bursting with color.
Bela, her mama and the macaw come alive with personality in the illustrations and the double page spread of Bella crossing the suspension bridge blindfolded is exciting and stunning to behold. A perfect mating of author Jane E. Ruth and illustrator César Meléndez. Also including are some beautiful photographs of mushrooms by Meléndez and interesting facts about them.
This is a great book for children. Highly recommended.
